the challenge

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana Business Inc.’s annual large-scale, high-energy, professionally produced live events honoring the Best of 225, Influential Women in Business, the Top 100 Private Companies, Best Places to Work and Forty Under 40 are much anticipated and always sold out. For decades, they have provided an opportunity for top executives and others in the business community to learn, network and celebrate success. In 2020, the pandemic made it impossible to host in-person events of that size. The company wanted a solution that would allow it to continue hosting its events, keeping guests safe but also maintaining or exceeding the experience attendees have come to expect.

the result

Beginning with the Best of 225, Studio E produced a series of high-impact hybrid streaming virtual events, hosting significantly larger audiences than the capacity of the traditional live events. The Best of 225 was hosted at the Manship Theater to give it the feel of a true televised awards show, with Influential Women in Business, the Top 100 Private Companies, Best Places to Work and Forty Under 40 hosted on stage at other locations. The Forty Under 40 event incorporated a 25th anniversary alumni celebration, personal video interview with each of the 2020 honorees and watch parties. Robust campaigns to promote registration and attendance created a buzz that resulted in high registration and attendance levels.
